🎮 Gaming performance
The biggest attraction is the graphics configuration. The top model can be equipped with an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB GDDR7 and a 175W TGP. The RTX 5080 has 16GB GDDR7, while the RTX 5070 Ti has 12GB. These GPUs support technologies such as DLSS 4 and NVIDIA Reflex.

That makes the Pro 7i particularly suitable for:
AAA gaming at 1600p
High-refresh-rate competitive gaming
Ray tracing
4K gaming through an external monitor
Video editing and rendering
3D modeling and animation
AI workloads
Streaming and content creation
🖥️ Excellent OLED display
One of its strongest features is the 16-inch 2560×1600 OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate. It offers 100% DCI-P3 coverage, a 1ms response time, Dolby Vision, NVIDIA G-SYNC and X-Rite certification. Higher-end configurations can also offer VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification.

So you get both very fast gaming performance and excellent image quality—something that isn’t always available on gaming laptops.
❄️ Cooling
Lenovo uses its Legion ColdFront vapor-chamber cooling system with an integrated hyper chamber to handle the substantial heat generated by the high-end CPU and GPU.
Lenovo PSREF
This is important because the RTX 5080/5090 versions are designed to run at relatively high power levels.
🔌 Ports and connectivity
The laptop is also well equipped for desktop-style setups. Depending on the configuration, you get:
Thunderbolt 4
USB-C with up to 140W Power Delivery
HDMI 2.1
Multiple USB-A ports
2.5Gb Ethernet
3.5mm audio
Wi-Fi 7
Bluetooth 5.4
It can support the internal display plus up to three external monitors.

⚠️ Things to consider
The main disadvantages are typical of a high-performance gaming laptop:
It’s relatively large and heavy compared with ordinary laptops.
High-end configurations are expensive.
The RTX 5090 version requires a large 400W power adapter.
Lenovo PSREF
Battery life will generally be much better for light work than for demanding gaming.
Maximum performance is best achieved while plugged into the charger.
⭐ Overall
The Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 is essentially a desktop-replacement gaming laptop. Its combination of the Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 50-series graphics, 240Hz OLED display, strong cooling, large battery, and extensive connectivity makes it one of Lenovo’s most powerful Legion gaming laptops of this generation.
If you’re considering the RTX 5090 + Core Ultra 9 275HX version, that’s an especially powerful configuration for gaming, 3D work, video production, and AI workloads.
